Nice photograph of the pipe. Did it make up for not getting a mars bar at the caravan park shop?

This is an enormously useful review because it saves neophytes groping around shops and websites trying to work out what to buy. Thanks for the practical tips too!

This is excellent stuff. It's somewhat of a relief to find someone who writes so articulately about the outdoors. Keep it up!

Yeah, it really is the great leveller, I reckon you could do it with a beerbelly and find it easy, or do it after 40 years hiking and struggle a bit, depending on all the factors!

It's good stuff this, I love reading WHW adventures.

I know the route so well now, but there's so much scope in there for making it different because of the weather, the distance and the changing terrain, never mind your feet.

Magic, I'll need to go again.

The pictures look amazing. On my next trip to Scotland I think I might have to venture a little outside of Glasgow and soak up some of this amazing views!!

As I was reading this I thought the exact same thing as Lizzie, I can only imagine how messed up my dreams would be if I fell asleep listening to Lord of the Rings and woke up in the middle of nowhere!
